On October 15 BISS’s senior analyst Dzianis Melyantsou made a presentation at a panel discussion named “Belarus After the Parliamentary Elections” organized by the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs.
Dzianis described the outcomes of the electoral campaign and analyzed the post-electoral situation in the country. Former Hungarian ambassador to Belarus Ferenc Kontra, who also took part in the discussion, focused on the perspectives of democratic transition in Belarus as well as on Belarus’s relations with the European Union.
The event has been attended by more than 30 representatives of diplomatic missions, Hungarian MFA, think-tankers and journalists. The discussion was moderated by the HIIA’s senior research fellow Andras Racz.
