  • Aleh Bahutski

    Belarusian historian, political analyst and political consultant. Now Aleh lives in Kyiv.

  • Aleksandra Kuczyńska-Zonik

    A political scientist and archaeologist, she holds two PhDs: one from the Faculty of Political Science at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (2015) and another from the Faculty of Sociology and History at the University of Rzeszów (2013). She is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Central Europe (IES). Dr Kuczynska-Zonik is also a laureate of the “Mobility Plus” Programme, within which she carried out her research project at Vilnius University in 2016-2017. Currently, her scholarly interests focus on security issues in East-Central Europe, especially in the Baltic countries, Russian diaspora, and Soviet heritage.


  • Alena Artsiomenka

    Alena Artsiomenka graduated from Social Communication Department at the Belarusian State University (2008) and master program in Sociology (2009). In 2010 obtained bachelor degree in social and political philosophy (European Humanities University). Since 2009 works in the direction of media, social and market research.  She is a part-time lecturer at Social Communication Department, BSU.  



  • Alexei Pikulik

    A graduate from the Belarusian State University (diploma in information and communication), he holds M.A. in Politics from the Central European University in Budapest (2005). Alexei worked extensively in the field of information, communication, advertisement, and NGO development.

    Ph.D in Political and Social Science (European University Institute, Florence), Master of Research in Political and Social Science (European University Institute, Florence), MA in Sociology (Central European University, Budapest). Research interests: political economy of reforms, political economy of oil, economic regulation. 

  • Aliaksandr Filipau

    Ph.D. in Political Science, is the Dean of the Faculty of Extended Education at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts (since March, 2013). Member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Political Sphere", member of the UN initiative Alliance of Civilizations. He speaks English, Arabic, Persian, Latin and Hebrew.

  • Aliaksandr Autushka-Sikorski

    Aliaksandr Autushka-Sikorski graduated from the European Humanities University in 2011 with Bachelor degree in Political Science and European Studies. MA in Political Science (Central European University, Budapest), MA in Public Policy (European Humanities University, Lithuania). 

  • Aliaksandr Papko

    Aliaksandr Papko is an analyst at Centre for Social and Economic Research CASE Belarus. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Warsaw and a Master's degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe. In 2012 Aliaksandr has been admitted to the PhD programme at the Polish Academy of Science.

    Research interests: economic and social transformations in Belarus and Russia, relations between the EU and its Eastern neighbours (European Neighbourhood Policy, Eastern Partnership); foreign policy of Russia and Belarus, European and Eurasian economic integration, political and economic transition.

  • Aliaxandr Aleshka

    Specialist in international relations. Graduated from the Belarusian State University, the University of Warsaw and Lancaster University. PhD student at the Graduate School for Social Research (Polish Academy of Sciences).

    Research interests: political and economic relations between Belarus and Russia, foreign policy of the Russian Federation, Eastern policy of Poland, economic relations between the EU and the post-Soviet region.

  • Alisiya Ivanova

    ImageBISS intern from August 1 to December 15, 2019. She majors in international law at the Faculty of International Relations of Belarusian State University, and this is the final year of her B.A.

    Previously, she volunteered for a number of human rights NGOs and has completed an internship at the International Committee of the Red Cross. In 2019, Alisiya was a winner (first place diploma) of 76th BSU student conference, as a participant of English language section “Contemporary developments in іnternational law”.

    The area of academic interests: international security, disarmament, military alliances.

    Apart from mother tongue Belarusian, she commands Russian and English.
