The Eastern Europe Studies Centre (EESC) together with the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BISS) launches an exciting opportunity for the Belarusian beginner researchers in social sciences to develop further their expertise and analytical skills.
Within the framework of the programme “Raising the Expertise of Grassroots Level Researchers in Belarus” and in collaboration with the Belarus Research Council, 20 starting Belarusian researchers will be provided with the training “From Commenting to Policy Impact” conducted by the leading think-tank experts. 10 of those trainees will be offered a scholarship to further develop their research and analytical skills at a leading European think-tank/ research institute.
The programme aims at contributing to the development of the Belarusian research community by strengthening the expertise of beginner researchers thus resulting in stronger expert community in Belarus capable of providing alternative policy initiatives, restoring public debate in Belarus, increasing the awareness of both the Belarusian and international community on the most important political, economic and social developments.

Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
The selection procedure will be carried out by the EESC/ BISS and the intern hosting institutions, taking into consideration the level of professional/research experience, research interests, motivation, and language competences.
