05 Nov - Vilnius / 12 Nov – Warsaw / 19 NOV - BERLIN
For the 19th time since 1997, representatives of science, culture, politics, economics and civil society from Belarus, Germany and other European neighbouring countries will meet.
The forum is dedicated to a general topic: ‘BY - 30 years of independence’
The organizer of the Minsk Forum XIX is the German-Belarusian Society (dbg). Cooperation partners include the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BISS), the Political Science Institute ‘Political Sphere’, the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation, Euroradio and the Belarusian House in Warsaw. The conference is supported by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Due to the epidemiological situation and the ongoing repression in Belarus, the conferences will be held in a hybrid format in Vilnius, Berlin and Warsaw. All cities have a symbolic thematic division: in Vilnius the focus is on history, identity and statehood, in Warsaw – on the diaspora, education and the media, and in Berlin we will discuss politics and economics in relation to Belarus.
The final discussion with EU parliamentarians is scheduled for Brussels. Conference languages are English and Russian.
